I’ve been seeing numbers of resorts and vacation houses inspired and actually feels like Santorini in Greece – white and clean, blue and relaxing, infinity pools overlooking the oceans, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. A perfect vacay for the family, friends or to be honest, an ideal get-away for solo travelers as well.

One of these beautiful vacay houses is the Sundowners Vacation Villas in Bolinao. On this article, I’m sharing my first experience in Sundowners and why and how I fell in love with the place. It may look and sound luxurious and expensive, but really, all the spends are worth it. Thanks, Sundowners Vacation Villas, Bolinao Tourism, The PH Archipelago (and @traversephilippines), What To Eat PH, and of course Dodj Mallari for inviting me to experience the Sundowners feels!

Bolinao is one of the towns in Pangasinan – the third largest province in the Philippines. Located in the western area of the island of Luzon, this town is filled with pristine beaches, waterfalls, and of course very reach in seafood. Bolinao is also known as the fish basket of Pangasinan because of the 14 mile barrier reef located within its area at the mouth of the Lingayen Gulf. As such a variety of fishes are caught in the waters off Bolinao.*

Aside from different vacation villas and resorts, you can also explore more of Bolinao whether for a relaxed tour or for an adventure time. Famous tourist spots are also accessible if you’re staying in Sundowners Villla.

I travel a lot, and one of my biggest problems is I quickly get sunburns even along my ride to somewhere. But you know what, I finally found my skincare routine best for after-summer vacays. Here’s how I take care of my sun-burnt skin. Aside from sunburns and an empty wallet, what else do I get from traveling, by the way?

Moving on, another challenge is thinking of how can you make your story interesting enough to get people to listen or read your page. Photos! People love viewing photos more than reading detailed stories, so no matter how much information you have you still have to own a technique on editing your photos. Here’s mine.

Every one of those 26 villas will give you everything you need for a perfect staycation – promising air conditioned bedrooms, hot and cold shower, fully equipped kitchen with dining area and grilling area, large balconies with relaxation areas, and of course, access to breathtaking infinity pool areas. There are villas that can accommodate a single person, a couple, and bog groups such as friends and families.

Sundowners Vacation Villas is just a 5-hour drive from Manila. I took the bus, though, and it took me two to three hours more (thanks to heavy traffic and I don’t know, but the driver seemed to be enjoying a slow and safe drive).

Good news is, Sundowners Vacations Villas has No Corkage Fee policy, so you can bring in as many food and drinks as you can. You can cook your own food at the kitchen of your villa, and there is a restaurant within the vicinity offering great food as well.

We bought our own food to prepare and cook for dinner and breakfast (which I would also recommend if you are on a budget). You can buy enough food from a nearby market, just hire a tricycle to get you there.

We also really enjoyed the private pool and jacuzzi, where we spent hours bonding and food tripping.
