Remember that time when we craved for mango-graham desserts (honestly still craving for it now!). Different brands and stores suddenly came up like mushrooms everywhere and thank you, people, for it! Though mango-flavored sweets are still in the trend until today, it’s also nice to welcome another flavor on the stage.
Avocado has always been my favorite since I was little. It’s even one of the tastes I always craved when I was pregnant for Mnemo! I know, some people feel weird about it’s color (especially when ground and mixed with milk and sugar… and sometime ice), but come on. I bet you already tried it and actually loved it.
Anyways, here’s a new foodie fave: a series of food stall owned by Chef Czarina Jagto, which specializes in decadent avocado-based desserts – Avocadoria.
Chef’s first avocado specialty was the Avocado Ice Cream Cheesecake (OMG who doesn’t love cheesecakes?!)/ She them eventually came up to other recipes and products which then she offered to the public.
Avocadoria launched in the mid-2019 and as of writing (it’s already November today, who’s excited for 2020?), they already have 40 branches and stalls, and four yummy avocado dessert items on thier menu. They offer their signature Avocado Ice Cream Cheesecake (Php550/tin*), Avocado Lover (Php110/8oz *, Php125/12oz*), and the Avocado Dream (Php90*) and Avocado Shake (Php170/16oz*).
I first tried Avocado Lover at a kiosk in SM San Lazaro just recently. It’s a nice, sweet cup of soft-serve avocado, nuts, crushed graham crackers, flax, and chia seeds. I missed the avocado slices (which I always worry, because #SeasonalFruit), but I still loved it! Anyhoo, here’s a growing list of outlets in case you’re far from Manila.
